7 Counties Negroni

This has become our absolute favourite Negroni (for now).  We call it 7 counties negroni as we are in Sussex, Mermaid is in Hampshire and The Cotswolds sits over 5 counties (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire).   The mermaid gin is so deliciously aromatic and the amaro is subtle enough to underpin everything. Yum!

Ingredients

• 25ml Mermaid gin
• 25ml No. 3
• 15ml Cotswold Whisky amaro

Method

1. Pour the vermouth, gin and Campari into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well until the outside of the glass feels cold. 

2. Garnish with an orange slice, using a blood orange when in season.
